My name is Betsy. I was born in Queens, New York. My family decided it was too cold there and so we relocated to South Florida when I was only 5 years old. My Parents were both born in Cuba so this gave me a great advantage in learning both English and Spanish languages especially here in Florida. As I was growing up I always wanted to have a dog or any pet for that matter but at the time my mother refused and said it was too much responsibility. Finally at the age of 11 I had a plan. Every night I would go and get in my parents bed and tell them I was scared to sleep alone. I managed to convince my parents that if they got me a small dog I could sleep in my bed with the dog and not be scared anymore. Sure enough this plan worked and I got what I wanted, my first dog Tootsie. It was not long before everyone in the household fell in love with her especially my mother. From then on I have never been able to live without an animal in my life. I currently have a 12 year old dog that I have had since she was only 6 weeks old.
After High School I went to college and studied business management. My problem was I was not sure what business I wanted to manage. I tried many different positions and it was when I was hired at the front desk of a Veterinary office in Miami Beach that I realized that I had a great love for animals and this is the field that I should be working in. My experience there taught me a lot about animals. In spite of it all I went ahead and got my Florida Real Estate license. I did Real estate for a few years and along the way I helped out friends and family with their dogs while out of town or working late. I often thought about my days at the vet’s office and how much I enjoyed working there. After a few years of this I decided to put real estate aside and do what I really loved and that was working with animals. I am currently looking forward to furthering my studies in Animal Behavior and Training. If you need someone you can trust with your pet please do not hesitate in contacting me. My name is Annette. I was born and raised in Miami, FL - one of the few natives here! I have always loved animals. I had several different pets as a child including birds, rabbits, dogs, cats and even worms. I have had a few careers during the last 10 yrs and then settled into marketing and have been doing some form of marketing or advertising for about 5 years.
I live in downtown Hollywood with my husband and 3 children. We are an active family and my husband and I ride almost 7 miles daily on bike. I wanted a job that could incorporate my physical activity and something fun while still allowing me to have flexible hours. Pet sitting and walking was the answer! Besides being very involved in home education I have always had a love for animals. It has been important to me to also teach my children to respect, appreciate, protect and care for animals. So through the years we have had many pets including dogs, cats, lizards, bunnies, gerbils, birds, etc. Additionally we have cared for and provided a temporary home for many animals. I have a hard time saying no - to an animal friend in need. We currently have three dogs, four cats, gecko, two birds and a chubby bunny.

Taking care of animals has always been part of my life growing up and definitely still is. Being a pet sitter allows me time with my family, pets and the ability to care for others too. It is so awesome how our pets love us unconditionally and we really owe it to them to provide them with loving care. Pets do much better in a home environment, less stressful for them when you are away. They also need exercise and quality fun/play time. That is where a personal pet sitter/walker comes inJ

Cyndi, Chloe and Stanley

All my life, I've had a dog, if not two or three. I've also had cats, birds, hamsters, ferrets, and horses as well. With four other siblings and a dog crazy mom, almost every breed under the sun romped through our house over the years; it was a wonderful experience. I truly don't believe a house is a home without a dog. I currently have two in mine, a five year old American Bulldog, Chloe, and a twelve year old chihuahua named Stanley. They are my loves (besides my "other half"), and a joy to be around.

Because I can't have every breed of dog running through my house now makes my job that much more enjoyable. I get to interact with different kinds of dogs, cats, and birds, and I get to be outside! Iris & Preeta

We settled in Miami about 3 years ago, and since we've been here we've adopted 3 cats and a dog including Preta (pictured with me above) a sweet Lab mix, Indy (short for independant!) a cool black cat, Mammasan (our bigmomma house cat who runs the place!), and Zoe my kitty who's been with me several years now, and is my little girl. All my life I've been adopted by strays, and that part of my life hasn't changed one bit. My little"family" is very sweet & loving, and if I had more land I would probably have a much larger family!

When I met Monika I liked her right off, and had her pet sit for me when I was away on business since my photography takes me around the world. My babies loved her as well and we became good friends. She knew I was very interested in pet sitting and approached me about working with her, and since I wouldn't consider any other to work for or to have watch mybabies, I happily accepted her offer!

DogsGoWalking was the perfect opportunity to do one of the things I loveand that comes most naturally, which is to give animals love, attention,and the care they need. This type of job also gave me the flexibility I needed to continue to work on my photography career which involves a lotof travel. So, now I'm doing the three things I love ~ working with animals, photography, and travel! I couldn't ask for anything better as they are each very fulfilling and enriching to me.
